Paul Perrone is currently the Kicking Coach for Colgate University and SUNY Morrisville (N.Y). He has been coaching at the college level for five years. He is a National Football Foundation member and has spoken at the NFF/NFL Coaching Academy at Syracuse University. He has also been published in American Football Monthly
Since Perrone's arrival at Colgate, Raider kickers have won five games in the final four minutes or overtime. In 2002, the Raiders won a share of the Patriot League title. Sophomore kicker Lane Schwarzberg was named to the Patriot League All-Conference team, set school records for field goals and field goal accuracy (season), and was named Colgate's Special Teams Player of the Year. At SUNY Morrisville, freshman kicker Aaron Kopp and freshman punter Brock Boland were named First Team All-Northeast Conference. Kopp finished the season ties for the nation's fourth-highest field goal total. In 1999, Morrisville kicker Ben Gall finished third in the country (NJCAA) in freshman kick-scoring. He also kicked 42 and 30-yard field goals against Canton to allow Morrisville the league title in its third year as a program. Gall was selected All-Northeast Conference in 1999 and 2000. Perrone has never failed to produce at least one All-Northeast Conference player for the Mustangs. In 1993, exchange student Sven Gunkel (Chittenango, N.Y. HS) was selected First-Team All-State (NYSPHSAA), helping the Bears to the State Finals, the best finish in their history. He kicked three field goals in the regular season finale, and had five touchbacks in a Sectional Playoff win.
