He has been coaching football every year since he began in 1974, serving as head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and special teams coordinator. His son Jay Feely, current NFL kicker, became a high school Blue Chip All-American in 1992, and thus helped launched his father's reputation as a gifted teacher of kicking and punting.
