Honors received:  Jordan Means, a 6-1, 190-pounder who transferred to Hoover High last
fall, has an impressive kicking resume going into his senior season.

19/20 from 40 and in career


26/31 from 45 and in career

As a freshman at Pelham High he made 9-11 field goals with a longest
kick of 43 yards. He was 20-21 on PAT kicks.

The following season he was 11-12 on field goals with his longest a
44-yarder. He made 23-24 PAT kicks and added kickoff duties, putting
40-49 into the end zone for touchbacks.

Last season he played four games at Pelham before transferring to
Hoover, where he had to sit out under transfer rules. He made 7-11
field goals with a longest of 56 yards. He was 9-9 on PAT tries and
kicked off 12 times, all which were touchbacks.

He won the award as the top performer in the 2005 Auburn Kicking
Academy and almost repeated this summer. Going into his senior year, he has earned a variety of honors including
Super All-Metro from The Birmingham News and was an honorable All-State
selection as a sophomore. I just got ranked three in the nation by
Scout.com," says Means, who is All-Metro in soccer. He was also chosen
for the regional and state select soccer all-star teams.Means won the Ray Guy
Kicking Camp competitions in 2004 at Augusta, Ga., and 2005 at Hoover.
He also won the longest field goal award at Guy's 2005 camp in
Hattiesburg, Miss. with a 60 yard field goal, and was the 2005 Pope/Tiffin Kicking Camp champ. Jordan was also just named Bham News Super Seniors Best of the Rest
being one of three or 4 other kickers in the state to be named.
