**I have been accepted to a tryout (08/18/07) for the new Professional Football League called the All American Football League - AAFL - http://www.allamericanfootballleague.com/. Only 250 players from across the country were accepted. Out of those 250 players, there will be ex-NFL players and Div. 1 College athletes that will be participating. This is a big honor and I am looking forward to the tryout that I was accepted. I hope to be competitive and finally get the opportunity to play in the next level!**

There comes a time in a player's life to where they need to make a decision to call it quits. My decision was, as others before me, has been a tough one. And for a couple years coming. I tried to hang on as long as I could but as I opened my office closet and seen my gear scattered about. It is my time to stop. I just don't have the time like I use to. I need to focus more on my kids and help them be the best they can be at whatever they decide. My time is done and the next generation is just beginning.
I would like to thank the AFL, AFL2, CFL & NAFL for the opportunity to allow me to play. Without them, I would never have been able to accomplish what I have in the 5 years I was in the league(s). (http://www.kicking.com/members/view.asp?id=James). I have been in training camps with the Dallas Desperadoes(AF1), played for the Arkansas Twisters & Memphis Xplorers (AF2), been on the prospect list for the Toronto Argonauts (CFL). Invitational only tryouts and training camps with the Calgary Stampeders & Ottawa Renegades (CFL) and the list go on.
I would like to thank Wes Booker, original owner of the Arkansas Rhinos. And to all that has made this journey a little easier. The memories will last a lifetime and no-one can or will take that from me.
I will finally pack my things up and put it on the attic to where it is out of sight. This is has been the hardest thing I will have ever done as an athlete. The saddest thing is, I still have the talent to succeed. I am in the best shape of my life. I think that is what hurts the most. I have no regrets.
